Senior Healthcare Economics Analyst

• Directed the development and maintenance of hospital performance metrics–tracking indicators such as C-section rates, length of stay, and readmissions–across a network of 5,000 hospitals and clinics nationwide, supporting performance-based compensation models.
• Created quarterly performance metrics reports leveraging SAS and SQL to support data sharing across sister teams and senior leadership; additionally, assisted in the automation process to enhance reporting efficiency–reducing report completion by one-third.
• Produced data-driven baseline summary reports highlighting hospital performance metrics to guide discussions and inform strategic negotiations for rate adjustments and contract renewals.
• Collaborated with a cross-functional team to integrate ER utilization data into a PowerBI dashboard focused on capitation-delegation payments, enhancing executive insight into payment patterns and care delivery efficiency.
• Provided SAS troubleshooting and analytical support to an intern-led project modeling the relationship between oncology treatments and emergency room visits, contributing to insights on treatment impact and patient outcomes.

Actuarial Analyst

• Developed financial valuation models to support business partner negotiations with ancillary healthcare providers, overseeing a value portfolio of $2.25B in commercial products and $130M in Medicare Advantage.
• Analyzed historical rates and revenue trends, delivering business and technical insights that informed strategic negotiations with major hospital systems.
• Executed ad hoc analytics projects for business partners' negotiations, such as ancillary network updates, network fee schedule comparisons to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and ambulance usage reports by hospitals.
• Created an annual comprehensive summary of in-network hospitals rates for submission to Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA), reducing turnaround time from three days to less than one through optimization.
• Monitored inflation trends for rate adjustment planning and communicated projected impact to senior leadership for budget alignment.
• Assessed return on investment for new providers–such as a high-cost at-home telehealth service used by 1,300+ members–by devising a method for ROI and sharing conclusions to clinicians and directors; managed an intern in updating this project during summer 2023.

• Helped organize multiple projects and activities, such as Date with a Book, marketing libraries’ diverse collection of young adult novels and short stories for Valentine’s Day.
• Assisted and directed patrons to desired media and services provided within the library, having upwards of 200 patrons in a single two-hour shift.

• Drafted a comprehensive initiation report by analyzing a company’s services, financials, and historical performance—synthesizing insights from investor presentations to inform prospective investors.

Residential Counselor

• Monitored the physical safety and mental wellness of 200+ high school students by physically leading them to planned activities and observing their mental wellbeing throughout.
• Organized events and activities for an assigned group of 12 students to get acquainted with the Greater Boston Area by creating a detailed schedule and planning certain destinations that would pique interest.

Research & Development Intern

• Overhauled instructions to construct ice dam-dissolving units - simplifying and accelerating the assembly time, providing efficiency for production, and streamlining the overall process.
• Designed and engineered an angle-adjustable roof to collect quantitative data and to test the practicability of the ice dam-dissolving units, giving insight into possible improvements made on the product.
• Assembled five ice dam-dissolving units with various mechanical and electrical components through use of soldering wires, wiring of the breadboard and electronics, and tuning components, such as potentiometers and water pressure pumps.

Student Mentor & Competition Judge

• Mentored elementary school-aged students on building and programming Lego robots to complete certain tasks given by the yearly game, breaking down complicated concepts into bite-size information digestible to inexperienced listeners.
